DSi V1.4.3 system released, will you update it?

Nintendo released the DSi new Firmware V1.4.3, which added nothing, just block most flash carts.
not all flash carts have been blocked, such as R4iDSN 3DS, R4i Gold 3DS , supercard DSTwo can work on DSi V1.4.3.
other flash carts such as m3i zero, acekard 2i, DSTTi, R4i SDHC ect… still can’t work on V1.4.3 firmware.
I think they will pass soon.
If you are a DSi owner and want to use flash carts, i recommend you don’t update to V1.4.3 now.
You’d better wait some days, when the updates and patchers work steady, then update.
how to upgrade products labeld “R4i V1.4.1″ for DSi V1.4.2

Hello everyboday, Nintendo release the newest DSi V1.4.2 system, it blocked most flash cart at first.
But now, many flash cart breaked it, such as R4iDSN, Pandora DS Card, Acekard 2i.
The R4i SDHC (R4i Red) from www.R4i-sdhc.com ,also breaked it on 15 May 2011.
The following is the method to upgrade the R4i SDHC V1.4.1 to work on DSi V1.4.2 system,
this upgrade is only used for R4i V1.4.1, please see the picutre:

V1.4.2 hardware upgrade：
1. make sure nds fully charged, better with external power pluged.
2. First, reformatting the SD, download the latest kernel 1.38b.
3. Unzip and copy the files(R4iMenu,moonshl2,moonmemo,r4.DAT) to the root of MicroSD card.
4. Download the latest upgrading programs. Unzip and copy the file(fwup142c.nds ) to the root of MicroSD card.
5. Insert MicroSD card into r4i-sdhc card, insert r4i-sdhc card into nds\dsl\dsi\dsixl\3DS
6. Turn on console and press “A” button to run the upgrade file fwup142c.nds. Note:When upgrading the r4i-sdhc card, it is not allowed to turn off power or pull out r4i- sdhc,otherwise it will damage the r4i-sdhc card.

Then you can use the R4i V1.4.1 card to run games on V1.4.2 DSi console now!

How to Play movies on your DS/DSi Flash Cart

This tutorial will show you how to convert movies to play on your ds flashcart
Things to download:
AviSynth
BatchDPG
Install AviSynth and Unzip BatchDPG. Run the main exe included in BatchDPG.
Browse for the video file you wish to convert. If you want to have a different audio source or want to include subs then you can browse for them. Now that you’ve selected the video/audio you want to encode, press Add.
Next press Settings. This should pop up a box which will allow you to adjust a few things such as FPS, Resolution and Bitrate. Depending on your movie, it’s recommended to use the following settings:

bitrate: 386
Max bitrate: 512
Passes: 3
Profile: Ultra
Resizer – Spline16
Width: 256
Height: 192
Audio bitrate: 128
Samplerate: 32768
Mode: Joint Stereo

Once you’ve chosen your settings, close the box and press Run in the original Window. Encoding at these settings can take some time. Once done, you should receive a .dpg file in your output folder. This .dpg is a movie which can be played on your DS. If you want to speed up the converting process, you can lower the Profile and number of passes but this will also lower the quality of the converted video.
How to play NES games on DSi

If you want to play the classic NES game on DSi, you need a NESDS emulators to help you do that.
First: NESDS emulators download: http://www.randomracket.com/downloads/nesDS.nds ;
Second: get an Acekard 2i card and a memory card;
Then, You can put the roms anywhere on the memory card.
Load up your Acekard 2i, and navigate to the location you put the nesDS.nds file. If you didn’t put the ROMS in the ROOT of the card, you’ll need to navigate to the folder you put them in. They will be automatically listed when you are in the correct folder. Scroll down, and press A to launch the game.
